Hodge Schindler’s Helena Bouchez to
Give Presentation on Music Marketing
CHICAGO – (Oct. 15, 2007) Helena Bouchez, vice
president of Hodge Schindler Integrated Communications
in Chicago, will be a guest speaker Oct. 21 at indie
music marketing expert Bob Baker’s workshop, “Seven
Secrets to Low Cost Music Promotion.”
Baker is
the author of the acclaimed “Guerilla
Music Marketing Handbook,” and conducts two online
classes on music marketing through the Berklee School
of Music. In her workshop presentation, Bouchez will
share her extensive media contact list and offer suggestions
on how best to get the word out in what is considered
one of the most vibrant – and competitive – music
markets in the country.
“To market indie artists
and their music effectively requires an aggressive,
integrated program that uses both traditional and new
media,” says Bouchez. “This
group is open to trying pretty much anything, so we’re
able to experiment with combining new marketing tactics
with more established forms of promotion, see what
works, and then adapt those techniques for programs
for our more mainstream clients.”
Bouchez, who is also a musician, has developed a deep
understanding of the Chicago music market and music
related media outlets from helping to promote a number
of local indie artists.
The workshop, which runs from
1 to 3:30 p.m., will be held at the Chicago
Actors Studio, 2040 N. Elston. Cost is $35 in advance, $40
at the door. To register, visit www.thebuzzfactor.com.
