Hodge Recognized for Role in Business Recognition
Program
CHICAGO (Oct. 24, 2007) – Sally Saville Hodge,
president of Chicago-based Hodge Schindler Integrated
Communications, was recently recognized for her role
in helping to bring about a highly successful program
recognizing influential women in business in suburban
Chicago.
Hodge was recognized at the 10-year mark of
the annual “Influential
Women in Business” program for brokering the
partnership between The Business Ledger, Naperville,
and the Chicago Area Chapter of the National Association
of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) that has led to the
program’s position as a prestigious institution.
This year, 23 women were honored during an event attended
by approximately 300.
Also recognized at the 10-year
mark for her involvement was Sandra Gidley, retired
founder of Gidley Management Group, Chicago, which
is NAWBO’s management firm.
“At the time we launched our Influential Women
program, I figured it would have a lifespan of maybe
five years,” said James Elsener, Publisher of
the Business Ledger, a bi-monthly covering businesses
in Chicago’s west and northwest suburbs. “Ten
years later, it is as relevant as ever – largely
thanks to our partnership with NAWBO.”
Hodge got
involved as a business owner who had regular dealings
with both the publication’s publisher
and editor, and as a board member of NAWBO Chicago. “I
thought a partnership between them would present a
win/win for both. As a connector, bringing them together
was what I liked to do. I'm happy it’s
continued to expand their influence as well!” she
said.
