Hodge Discusses Marketing Accountability in Association
Forum Presentations
CHICAGO (Nov. 1, 2007) – Sally
Saville Hodge, president of Hodge Schindler Integrated
Communications, Chicago, will discuss the importance
of performance metrics for associations’ marketing
initiatives in separate presentations Nov. 6 and Nov.
20.
The presentations are being sponsored by the Association
Forum’s marketing special interest group (SIG).
Hodge is co-presenting on Nov. 6 with Tricia Spellman,
director of marketing for Healthcare Information and
Management Systems Society (HIMSS), and Nov. 20 with
Harriet Bogdanowicz, senior director of marketing and
communication for the Information Systems Audit and
Control Association (ISACA).
“It’s a familiar
refrain: what isn't
measured isn't managed,” according to Hodge. “And
association management is increasingly demanding that
marketing professionals demonstrate the same accountability
and returns on investment that their counterparts in
the private sector are being pressured to achieve.”
The presenters of the heavily case-based program will
discuss the connections between member needs and marketing
goals, the importance of baseline data in guiding marketing
strategy and ways to incorporate metrics in your marketing
plan.
The Nov. 6 presentation will be held from 8 to 10:30
a.m. at the Association Forum office, 10 S. Riverside
Plaza, Suite 800; the Nov. 20 session will be held
from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the ASGE IT and Training
Center, 800 Quail Ridge Dr., Westmont.
