Hodge Schindler Wins DBE Certification through
Metra
CHICAGO (Nov. 12, 2007) – Hodge Schindler Integrated
Communications of Chicago has won certification as
a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) through Metra,
the Chicago-area rail service.
Government contracts
over a certain amount that are funded with federal
monies must have a portion of the total allocated for
participation by businesses that are socially and/or
economically disadvantaged.
Hodge Schindler has met
stringent financial and ownership criterion to be qualified
as a DBE. Metra is one of five certification agencies
in Illinois; its certification honored by all participating
agencies in the Illinois Unified Certification Program
(IL UCP).
“We’re happy to have qualified, as we
believe DBE certification presents a significant opportunity
for our firm to participate in more contracts for which
we have the credentials, but might be overlooked because
of our size,” said Sally Saville Hodge, President
of Hodge Schindler.
